About DGW

Deutsche Gesenkschmiede Wetzlar GmbH (DGW) is a medium-sized Hessian company with around 320 employees that specializes in high-quality steel processing.

We manufacture customer-specific drop-forged parts for the commercial vehicle industry as well as for companies in the agricultural engineering, mechanical engineering, tunnel construction and mining sectors.

The majority of our customers are based in Germany or within the European Union.

History

As a young company with a long history, we combine proven expertise with fresh ideas.

Following its spin-off from Buderus Edelstahl GmbH on November 1, 2025, DGW operates as an independent company within the Mutares Group and is part of the FerrAl United group of companies.

Our team of experienced specialists and experts stands for quality, innovation and partnership-based cooperation.
