Firefighter m/f/d
Location: Wetzlar
Date: at the earliest possible date
Type of employment: Full-time
Your tasks
Thanks to your previous training in the field of firefighting, we will integrate you directly into the operational service of the plant fire department and you will quickly become a fully-fledged member of our team. You will take part in fire-fighting and assistance operations. Once you have completed your training, you will also work in our control center.
During non-working hours, you will assist with the maintenance and repair of fire protection equipment and contribute to the operational readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment through maintenance and testing activities. You will make an important contribution to occupational safety in our company by providing services in the area of PPE against falls from a height or mobile gas detection technology. In order to fulfill this responsibility, you will receive instruction in the specialist areas as well as subject-specific qualification measures and specialist training courses.
As a paramedic, you will provide first aid to our employees as part of the company’s emergency management and the company medical service. If necessary, you will support plant security to ensure safety in our company.
Your profile
- You have completed vocational training
- You have already gained experience in the volunteer fire department and are trained as a squad leader in accordance with FwDV 2, are a radio operator and active breathing apparatus wearer
- You have technical understanding and manual dexterity as well as a good knowledge of scientific principles
- You are physically fit and have the ability to work in a team and give feedback, keep calm even under stress and can use a PC. Shift work, heights and confined spaces are no problem for you.
